Over in Rumania Danny found his Turkish opponent too spicy for his liking and he remains on 2/5. Apparently the air conditioning is not working and they are literally “cooking,” Set off the water sprinklers ….that will make the Irish contingent feel at home.
In the Championship its a wonder some of our clubmates are speaking to one another as Sean seems to be getting drawn against them all…..no short draws here as all results have been decisive….beating Gavin, losing to Gabor…seems like he won’t be there on Sunday, thus finishing with 2.5/4.
Gabor is going great guns 3.5/4 and chasing the prizes. Luke is also in the fray on 3/4. Gavin & Robert have acquitted themselves well at a higher level and both have 2/4.
In the Major Section, Piotr is progressing well, but got derailed by young Max Tempany in the last game who had accounted for the Senior family member earlier in the day. Piotr has 2.5/4, as has the Dinosaur……who spent most of his day wandering the hall looking for Goodie-bags. What’s that got to do with Chess?. Nothing……but ask the Ninja Dinosaur Hunting Arbiter who has followed it’s every move. Vinajak returns to the fray and we’ll see what Sunday brings.
