The O’Hanlon team continue to lurch haphazardly in the lower echelons of the division, yet, bizarrely, continue to climb the table. How? All the other teams are lurching worse than we are!! The next week sees 2 relegation battles…firstly against one of the pre-season favourites for promotion……Malahide. Quite simply, they have under-performed for such a strong team, and are rooted with the stragglers. Let’s look at them……..2 good wins, 2 draws and a couple of hidings!!….it will still be a major surprise if they go down. On ratings alone, they should be challenging at the other end having a fairly settled team throughout with well known regulars like Tom O’Sullivan, Shay Scott, Brian Reid, Cormac Roche & Vincent Blissett yet, they’ve misfired all season…………it will just be our typical luck & misfortune if they turn up and do what’s expected. We have played better against the top teams this year, so have further hopes of lurching up the league. Lurch….now that name does sound familiar……………ah yes!!!
What else? The Chairman is still missing, last sighted in Aldi’s……..Timbuktu!. Sam Collins has not declined playing for the O’Hanlon team next year….he hasn’t accepted either: …..hopefully Mark can ask him at Bunratty, and remember to ….Duck!!………….The First team will Swan off to Athlone on Saturday,. where they will play perennial foes Ballinasloe -no love lost there-…not that we will hear anything about the outcome….considering that they have all taken a vow of Silence which includes not talking to each other either. Considering the recent miracle of Coolmine, where they were 1-5 down and only lost 3.5-4.5 to Phibsboro…….perhaps another mathematical impossibility will occur……maybe Arsenal will get fourth, but in true Arsene Wenger style…………he never sees it, and we never hear it. The name of the fictional Order is ….Lurching from one disaster to another!!!
Before anyone gets upset, it’s all Fake News Folks, Fake News!!……like the American President………………what’s his name……………..Lurch!!
Let Battle commence next Monday.
