Irish Blitz Championships

Rudolf Tirziman and Gavin Doyle entered the Irish Blitz Championships at the weekend. Gavin scored 3.5/9, encountering the talented Anthony Bourached, the strong Eric Bennett and Dublin’s David O’Connell. He followed this up with 3 good wins. Rudi scored 4.5/9 which included wins over WCM Diana Mirza,, Rory Delaney and Muhtarim ul Haque, as well as drawing with Tom O’Gorman. Other matches involved playing two of the Gonzaga front men of FM Conor O’Donnell and David Murray, whilst another Gonzagian, Killian Delaney swept away all the opposition to win by scoring 9/9.
