Next Thursday sees a resumption of the Bea promotion quest as we travel to Portmarnock. They have a good solid group of players who are displaying tendencies similar to last season’s Jekyll and Hyde performances, winning and losing large in equal measure. Results don’t always tell the whole story as they lost from a winning position vs Drogheda and not getting what they really deserved against Dublin University. One point being scant reward for a highly competitive affair, but it was the highest rated player in the league that fell!. Portmarnock’s league form remains inconsistent, and may well work in their favour….no pressure and unlikely to be drawn into a basement battle, having played nearly all of the top teams. They will definitely have a good go at trying to knock us off our perch, and we need to be ready to meet their challenge, but as to how they’ll play…..well, that is anyone’s guess! Game on….Yippee!!
