Treasurer report: Season 2023/24
Overview
During 2023/24, the Club Committee decided to invest in a once off coaching programme and to also purchase new chess equipment. These significant investments, alongside rent increases, led to a large deficit for the club in 2023/24 season.

Proposed Increase in Club annual membership fees in 2024/25
Boys €50 / Girls €25 / Family membership €85 / Individual adult membership €100
Explanation: club fees have not increased in some 8 years. The proposed fee structure maintains a special reduced fee for Girls under 18 years, as we remain at significantly less than 50% female membership.
Other financial information
The club has been approved for a grant of €3,000 in 2024/25 linked to assisting Ukrainian Youth fleeing war to integrate within our local chess community. This grant will be spent in line with the application submitted to Grant providing authority. We expect it can allow us to run new chess events under the motto Gens Una Sumus in the Dublin 15 area.
