The club AGM will be held at 8pm on June 24th. The meeting will be held over Zoom, with invite links sent to various club whatsapp groups and posted on the club website.
All members are urged to attend. Whether our club can return to normal meetings will depend on whether we can organise ourselves to get that done, and in large part this means if you and I can volunteer to help the club restart as restrictions reduce.
We especially need volunteers to join our committee to help run and guide us all to benefit our chess club family.
For AGM, please feel free to suggest points for the meeting to consider: and you can perhaps contact me (John Delaney) at john.delaney.irl@gmail.com and I can include in meeting agenda. Another even simpler way is to post on the WhatsApp group, and I will see that also.
If you are happy to join the committee or help in some other way, please let us know and your preferences. The Club committee will post some explanatory documents next week, to identify our tasks and roles, and ideas for things we might do as a club if we find enough volunteer to succeed in getting them done. Hopefully you can read the various notes and decide to be a part of the general challenge in 2021/22 of somehow bringing our club back to full life (ie also physically meeting) to benefit all our juniors, parent & adult players.
More information for the AGM will be posted in the next week or so. The AGM will start at 8pm on June 24th, and we aim to finish formal business by 9pm (those who wish are then invited to continue talking through ideas after 9pm tíl 9.30pm)
