Congratulations to all our club-mates who took part in the Irish junior championships last weekend, especially to Danny Dwyer who retains his title as the Irish Under 12 Champion.
Other notable performances came from Luke Scott who took 4th place in the Under 19 section, and Marco Blackwell who received a grading prize for finishing as the top unrated player in the Under 14 section (excellent work in his first ever rated tournament). Niamh Comey also received a grading prize in the Under 8 section. The Fijalkowski brothers finished very strongly in the respective age groups; Tomasz finishing 7th in the under 10 section and Maciej finished 8th in the under 12 section. Alex Babin proved very difficult to beat recording just a single loss all weekend, including a draw with his club mate Cillian.
