Congratulations to all who played in the Gens Una Sumus Fide rapid, held on March 29th in Blanchardstown Dublin! Our intrepid reporter – Sofia Romila (12) – aided by our Event Director Tanmayee Goli reported from the event as follows:

Gens Una Sumus

“On Sunday the 29th of March the Gens Una Sumus took place, and here are some some interviews that we took with the players and their favorite part of the day.

Lauren aged 9 said her favorite part of the day was when she was winning her match and everyone was crowded around her table

Tierna also aged 9 said her favorite part was her third game because she tried her hardest

Adhav aged 12  said his was just playing the tournament 

Lilith aged 10 said hers was the whole tournament

Niralya aged 10 said her favorite part was whenever she won her games 

Anvita aged 8 said meeting with her friends and playing in the tournament 

Ellen aged 8 said just playing in the tournament and supporting friends 

Cian, Finn and Sean all aged 8 said just playing chess “
