Blanchardstown Chess Club
The Blanchardstown Chess Club is a very social and fun chess club of which is run by John Delaney.
As some of you may know we have monthly chess tournaments in which you play around 5 different chess games, and by the end of the class 3 different winners will have been chosen, this week our winners were,
First place, Ben,
Second place, Reuben,
And Third place, Damian.
All three of our winners for this tournament are extremely talented and skilled at chess so a big congratulations to them!
The environment of the junior chess club is very social, engaging and enjoyable.
It gets also quite competitive during tournaments, which a lot of the time makes chess even more enjoyable.
Some of the fun moments from the day were when my match was almost finished and we both only had around 10 seconds left of the clock but we weren’t finished so we were both just moving random pieces and pressing the clock, another moment was when two very competitive people were playing each other it was most likely one of the most competitive matches of the day.
