Announcements regarding the Irish Junior chess championships:
The main event website is now live, please check it for upto date playing schedule, entries and results.
If you haven’t entered already please do so here as soon as possible. Entries on the day (subject to space) on the day will open 60 minutes before the start of the first round and close 15 minutes before round 1. Late entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

Girl’s Prize:
The highest ranked girl in the Under 8 section of the tournament will be awarded the “New Ireland Assurance Cup” and in addition in order to encourage more girls to play chess, the highest ranked girl in each other sections will get a tournament chess set prize provided by the ICU.
