A few of our members participated in the Leinster Championships which double up as the Malahide Congress. John Delaney and Danny Dwyer competed in the Master Section. Sean Nolan from Balbriggan who helps with Junior training on Saturdays competed in the Majors. John finished 3rd equal on 4/6, including a draw with the winner Colm Daly in the last round.- a nice return to form. Danny scored 2.5 which included a fine win over Anthony Bourached. Sean came an excellent joint 2nd in the Majors with 4.5/6 after a poor start. Victory over ex-member Luke Scott would have won the title, but the draw allowed Kevin Burke to overtake them both with a win.
